Reason into action

If it’s important to you, you will find a way.
If not, you’ll find an excuse.

Are you building a business? Why are you doing it? What drives you to get up every morning and work on your business?

The first thing to know is the why. Without it you’ll never achieve anything.

It should be a great “Why”. Something that will get you excited.

Write them down on paper. Don’t under estimate the power of writing it on paper. It could be the difference between achieving it or not.

Then, do what comes to your mind to get there. Even if it’s not the best way, it’s ok, as long as you get in action.

The road to your dream may not be perfect, but as long as it gets you there it’s ok.

Will you Crush it!

Gary Vaynerchuk shared the secret to his success in his book « Crush it! ».

1 – Love your family
2 – Work super hard
3 – Live your passion

I’m not going to give you more here. You’ll need to get that book and read it.

I’ll talk about what I think about those three rules he’s been living by. They all resume to one thing; “Love”.

If you do everything with love, you’ll have an happy life.

As Gary, I believe that your family should be your priority. In the family, I include close friends. This is the core of your social life. If you treat your core with love and care, you’ll have a strong base on witch you can build your business.

Working hard is something that a lot of people underestimate. A lot of us are thinking like a worker. We have to change that mindset to one of business owner.

Worker and business owner are very different.

Workers are selling time for money.

Workers are giving away their creativity for a price without any way to earn from it anymore.

Workers are thinking they are better to waste time on the job because they get paid anyway for it. And the list goes on like that for Worker.

For business owner, it’s quite different.

Business owner think about the future.

Business owner work very hard without any return when they start.

Business owner are using every minutes of their time to do as much as they can.

Business owner are using their creativity and some of others (workers) to build their business.

Business owner are ready to make a lot of sacrifice for their success.

And the last rule of Gary is “Live your passion”. Yes, if you want to build a business, it’s a lot easier if you build it around one of your passion. Passion will make the hard a little less hard. Passion will make the hours slip away fast. Passion will get you up in the morning with a burning fire to start your day. Passion will keep you up at night.

You need to read that book.

Good Idea

Most people will not move on a good idea. Most will talk about it.

If you think it’s a good one, move on it.

“I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.”
 - Lucille Ball

You’ll learn a lot more when you do then when you read. When you do, you have more data to build a reference.

Pretender will say that they know, but they haven’t done. So, keep away from pretender. Follow the ones that are doing.

“Stay away from pretender, follow the doers.” – Serge Cote

As you build your team, do your best to associate yourself with doers that are ready to learn the way to do it better.

Do something, even the wrong ones. It’s a lot better then sitting on you’re A$$!

Making excuses?

Excuses…

We all have ours and we all have to overcome them to make it big.

What are your excuses? Are you fast to find excuses? Do you feel secure with your excuses?

“Leadership - leadership is about taking responsibility, not making excuses.”
 - Mitt Romney

One of the differences between someone who’s successful and someone who’s not is how much they rely on excuses in their life. If you have excuses for every difficulty, then you have to realize that it has a direct relation with your level of success.

Make a conscious action to realize that you are using excuses. This is the start to stop doing it. You can’t overcome what you don’t know. Knowing that you are using excuses will help you work on them.

It’s not easy. It will take lots of time. But if you want to upgrade your success, then you’ll have to work on it.

“Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.”
 - George Washington Carver

Discipline will make it happen!

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”
 - Jim Rohn

Everyday you need to take action toward your goals. You can’t succeed without a constant investment of energy.

There’s no easy way.

You need discipline to keep taking action everyday. It’s better to take small action everyday, then to take one big action once a week. Slow and steady win the race.

Discipline will keep you going on against all obstacles. When you face hard time you only need to pick something simple and do it. As long as you get close to your goal, even just one step, it will make you feel good.

Discipline will help you to set goal that you can reach and goal that will ask you to stretch a little more to go further.

Discipline will keep you from wasting your time on useless activities taking you away from your goals. The first thing you need to ask yourself is: “How much do you really want it?”

Someone with discipline will start with the hard stuff before the easy ones. Because, you need to be top shape in order to give your best with the hard stuff.

Discipline will get you to work before play.
